Overview A sewage tank on-board a luxury superyacht had to be refurbished after the old coating was suffering from corrosion damage. Challenge The sewage tank was located in a very confined space; therefore a solvent-free coating system was preferred due to H&S concerns. As the sewage tank is on-board a superyacht, the client was looking for the coating to be to a near perfect finish and also to last the lifetime of the ship. Solution The substrate was grit blasted to Sa 21/2. One stripe coat and one full coat of solvent-free, wet & rust tolerant epoxy Epo-chemTM RS 500P was then applied.
