Honeywell, Nokia, and Colt are partnering to deliver Quantum Safe Networking (QSN) to protect data-in-transit from quantum threats. The approach combines Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), physics-based symmetric keys, and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), with satellite QKD planned for long-distance links. Colt provides global network infrastructure, Nokia delivers QSN systems, and Honeywell brings space-based QKD expertise. The phased rollout starts with metro QKD-as-a-service in 2025, terrestrial QSN in late 2025, and satellite QKD by 2027. This multi-layered defense meets NIS2/DORA compliance and secures finance, defense, and government communications.
