Today’s government agencies are embracing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to take the drudge work out of a host of human processes and tasks, as well as leveraging these new technologies on their digital transformation journey. A report by researchers at Stanford and New York University found that 45% of public sector organizations are using AI and ML — and that number continues to grow. Without the proper AI and ML strategy in place, agencies will succumb to cybersecurity risks. Strategies used to harden networks against phishing and ransomware fail to address the specific threat vectors that emerge as agencies implement AI across a range of tasks.
