A recent IDG survey of over 100 IT leaders highlights the critical need for a robust, evolving security awareness culture, as nearly all organizations face security breaches, averaging 3.1 types per company. Although most companies provide security training, it often falls short of creating a sustainable "human firewall." Only 22% prioritize continuous, evolving training despite its effectiveness. The survey found data security, ransomware, and employee data breaches as the most common threats, with larger firms more prone to cybersecurity incidents. Effective security awareness involves continuous training, simulated phishing exercises, educational emails, and positive reinforcement.
