Fidelis Network Mail Sensor is an SMTP email security sensor within Fidelis Network that scans every message end-to-end to prevent email-based threats and data loss while collecting rich metadata for detection, response, and threat hunting. It analyzes inbound and outbound email and attachments using Fidelis threat intelligence and malware detection (signatures, heuristics, sandboxing, and machine learning), identifies malicious links and data leakage, and can apply OCR text analysis to images. The sensor can quarantine, reject, or discard messages in real time, handle ESMTP/TLS encrypted email, and extend visibility to Office 365 traffic via Exchange. It supports flexible deployment as an inline MTA, as a milter with an external MTA, or via BCC for monitoring-only use.
