When connected to SharePoint, your files display status icons: blue for syncing but not yet downloaded, green for downloaded and opened, and blue arrows for active syncing or editing. If no icon appears, the device may be disconnected. You can also confirm connection by clicking the SharePoint icon in the taskbar. Many users save files to a SharePoint folder only to later discover they never synced, which can cause lost work. By watching for missing icons and other red flags, you can quickly spot disconnections and avoid issues with unsynced files.
