HG Insights' 2024 Microsoft Azure Ecosystem report reveals Azure’s 14.2% year-over-year growth, reaching nearly 350,000 customers globally. North America and EMEA lead in customer count, and startup adoption grew fastest at 23%. While 78% of customers spend less than $1K/month, higher spend is concentrated in the Internet, Media, and Education sectors. Microsoft’s $10B investment in OpenAI fuels Azure’s AI growth, with over 18,000 organizations using Azure OpenAI. About 36% of Azure customers also use other cloud platforms, and 54% of mid-market users are cloud-native. Azure’s partner ecosystem now prioritizes AI initiatives.
