2023 ANNUAL SECURITY INCIDENT OBSERVATION REPORT
The 2023 NSFOCUS Annual Security Incident Observation Report recorded 376 incidents, a 33% drop from 2022, though ransomware and data breaches in enterprises and healthcare rose sharply. Finance and telecom sectors became prime targets, while crypto-mining declined. Vulnerabilities surged to 30,947, with cross-site scripting and SQL injection most common, and several decade-old flaws still exploited. Zero-day attacks increased, targeting Apple, Cisco, and Microsoft products. Emerging risks included AI-driven fraud, ESXi ransomware, Kubernetes misconfigurations, and attacks on smart vehicles. DDoS attacks remained the main weapon in geopolitical cyber conflicts.
