The VAST Data Platform optimizes AI data center infrastructure by deploying its software on NVIDIA® BlueField®-3 DPUs, which significantly simplify and enhance performance, security, and scalability. With BlueField DPUs handling critical storage, networking, and security tasks traditionally run on server CPUs, VAST offloads these workloads to the DPUs, enabling major boosts in storage networking bandwidth and reducing the need for dedicated compute nodes (CNodes). This shift reduces power consumption by around 77%, lowers rack space requirements by 73%, and decreases dependency on external network switches, simplifying network architecture and lowering costs.
