SIKA AT WORK ZETLAND PRIMARY SCHOOL, REDCAR ROOFING: Decothane Ultra, Decotherm Insulation Board, SVAP-5000, Sika Primer 610 BACKGROUND Part of the Ironside Academy Trust, Zetland Primary School is the oldest school in Redcar, established by Lord Zetland in 1859. The school’s felt covering had begun to fail and problems with water ingress were exacerbated by degradation of a number of small parapets. Insulation across the various roof areas was also inconsistent and below the thermal performance requirements of current building regulations. REQUIREMENT The project comprised essential roof repairs and upgrades to the thermal performance of the building with additional insulation.
