CASE STUDY YARMOUTH HARBOUR MARINA INNOVATIVE DECKING MATERIAL USED FOR FIRST THE TIME Yarmouth Harbour is one of the busiest destinations on the UK’s south coast located on the Solent just a few miles from Cowes, the birthplace of yachting. Walcon Marine was commisioned by Yarmouth Harbour Commissioners at the end of 2010 to undertake the first phase of the redesign and rebuilding of the marina, valued at £1.3 million. The objective was to provide more full-facility, walk-ashore pontoons for resident and visiting yachts and required both the moving of existing piles and pontoons, and the installation of new berthing infrastructure.
