At the time of commissioning the initial 200kWp system on the Glastonbury Festival farm site was the largest privately-owned solar PV system in the UK. Installed on a commercial cow shed the system helps to offset the dairy farm’s energy use. Mr Eavis returned to Solarsense two years later to have a further 50kWp added. Due to the dusty environment on the farm a bespoke sprinkler system was installed to allow daily washing of the modules.
