Paper was creating three problems – time, customer satisfaction, and cost. Staff had to first register a patient in MEDITECH, wait for paper forms to print, retrieve them, organize them, explain each to the patient and obtain signatures and information, review each document, and manually scan and index each form into MEDITECH Scan Archive using a desktop scanner.
