Utilizing conventional mud motors, they were experiencing substantial sliding requirements in the tangent due to the harsh dynamics in the formation layers. Consequently, the tortuous and deviated borehole was causing the drillpipe to get stuck. To complete the wellbore, the first section required drilling from 1,100 m MD to 2,000 m at 81/2” diameter, then a 6” diameter section from 2,000 m to 2,775 m MD, while hitting multiple targets within a 10 m radius. ?
