Washington Mainline Weigh Station Project Description: In the mid-1990’s, IRD was contracted to supply, integrate and install WIM sorting capabilities at the Ridgeeld and Bowhill weigh stations.IRD constructed Washington’s rst ramp WIM sorting system at Bowhill and Washington’s rst mainline WIM sorting system at Ridgeeld. Most recently, IRD supplied and integrated a WIM Preclearance System used by the Washington State Patrol and Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) to automatically screen commercial vehicle tra c based on gross vehicle and axle weights, dimensions, safety, and credential criteria on the I-90 mainline and on the ramp leading into the weight station at the Spokane Port of Entry (POE). IRD has deployed and integrated 12 WIM Preclearance Systems in Washington
