WALDKRAIBURG When the housing association Stadtbau Waldkraiburg in the Bavarian town of Waldkraiburg was to design their outdoor areas, and create a playground at the residential complex, they agreed early on that a playground should be more than just a playground. It should be a place where everyone could come together, regardless of their ability. Working with KOMPAN, the housing association developed a solution that would provide space for socialising with engaging activities for all ages on durable, vandal resistant playground equipment. Made from a combination of HDPE plates and galvanised steel, the playground equipment not only looks great, but also helps to keep costs down, including the cost of maintenance.
