GLACIER GORGE SWITZERLAND The glacier gorge in the Grindelwald is an impressive masterpiece of nature. This popular destination was to be extended to become a world of experience and adventure. The unusual task was to create a meeting point to span a mountain stream between rock faces. A creative solution was required, which demanded full customisation in order to meet the local conditions. The shape of the nets was modulated along the course of the rock faces. The Kompan Design Studio, in collaboration with Officium, developed a sensational solution: a net structure of 170m2 as a unique symbiosis between technology and nature. The open-space design allows visitors to playfully approach great heights and creates unique experiences for all the senses from new and unusual perspectives.STAGE
