Versus NHL OOH Case Study Background The NHL regular season, along with the Stanley Cup Play- offs and NHL All Star Game, are core elements of Versus’ programming. Dating back to 2005-2006, regular season ratings have consistently grown each year leading up to the most recent 2009-2010 season. As the popularity of the NHL increased, so did the awareness of Versus as a destina- tion for the NHL. With a highly competitive environment (MLB Playoffs, NFL Regular Season/Playoffs, NBA Regular Season, NCAA Football/Basketball, and NASCAR), Versus has traditionally relied on TV to break through the clutter and drive tune in.
