USCG Cold Bay Hangar Hangar The project was built in extreme weather including rain, snow, sleet, constant high winds and very little sunshine. There are two buildings: (a) 71’ x 90’ x 30’ gable style building with tapered columns; (b) 7’ x 20’ x 10’ single slope building with straight columns. Mega Door system was used. The total wdith is 60’9” 1/2 x 27’ 3/4” leaf height per Mega door attached with a clear height opening of 60’ x 22’ .
