Cloudian HyperStore was chosen for the Department of Defense’s updated cloud storage program because it had already proven its value in MilCloud 2 since 2019. The new initiative, part of the $639M Enterprise Storage Solution (ESS) III contract, provides a managed storage service covering all required hardware and software for storage, networking, and operating systems. The upgraded platform is designed to deliver faster performance, greater reliability, and lower costs. Cloudian HyperStore serves as the object storage foundation, supporting diverse application workloads with scalable, secure, and efficient S3‑compatible storage.
