UC Merced Science and Engineering Building 2
UC Merced Science and Engineering Building 2 Overview The Science and Engineering Building 2 is the second building accommodating instruction and research programs in the School of Engineering and the School of Natural Sciences at University of California, Merced. The Science and Engineering Building 1, completed in August 2006, is a 175,000sf research and teaching facility. The project design team utilized UC Merced’s master plan and architectural design guidelines from Building 1 as the framework for Building 2. (Photograph ©Tim Griffith) TEECOM’s Contribution TEECOM was hired as the integrated technology consultant for the new science building providing telecommunication, security, and audiovisual systems. The building supports open class laboratories, research laboratories, laboratory
