UC Davis CASE STUDY M60 Swing Away + Ply Chairs Davis, California © Matthew MilmanProject Overview Bohlin Cywinski Jackson designed an innovative learning environment at University of California Davis using the M60 Swing Away. The room was designed for flexibility and future adaptability in the evolving higher education pedagogy. The design focus of this building is built on fostering engagement and collaborative interaction in a welcoming and inclusive environment. One of the game-changing design features includes a clam shell orientation with a minimal sloped floor for stronger connections between instructors and learners. Almost 600 positions of swing away seating with Ply chairs allow for ease of circulation and “think/pair/share” active learning. © Matthew MillmanProject Detai
