Project Highlights: T. Y . Lin International (TYLI Malaysia) is providing alignment scheme and pre- detailed design services for the Penang Light Rail Transit (LRT) project in Penang, Malaysia. The Penang LRT project is part of the first phase of the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP). Implemented as part of a long-term transportation solution for the island, the project will be part of the government plan to promote and implement a safe, reliable, and sustainable integrated public transport system. Construction is expected to commence in 2017 and will take approximately six years to complete. The total length of the LRT system is approximately 26.8 kilometers, with a total of 25 stations proposed. Twenty kilometers of the route will be elevated, with 20 elevated stations and a 5-kilomete
