Peter Brett (PBA) | Transport Economic Cases, Medway Council PBA developed economic cases for three transport schemes in the Medway area, successfully securing the funding required by the local council. The three schemes were: Chatham town centre placemaking improvements, Medway cycling area action plan, and the Medway river taxi. Using all available data and guidance, PBA carried out an option appraisal and cost benefit analysis to identify the best solution to achieve the Council’s objectives for each of the three schemes. All work complied with the Department for Transport's WebTAG and transport business case guidance and included the impacts on journey times, demand forecasts, cost analysis, local economy impacts and, crucially, a benefit cost ratio.
