TramLinkBR Project Baton Rouge, Louisiana HNTB completed the NEPA environmental review for a 3-mile modern-day streetcar system connecting downtown with the Louisiana State University. HNTB worked seamlessly with the City of Baton Rouge-Parish of East Baton Rouge and the Federal Transit Administration to advance the project over a compressed 11-month timeframe. HNTB developed the project’s Locally Preferred Alternative; delivered the Environmental Assessment within a record 5-month timeline; conducted a robust public involvement program; developed conceptual engineering plans; obtained FTA signature of the Finding of No Significant Impact; and gained entrance into the FTA Small Starts Project Development program.
