Project Page: The Singapore Management University (The SMU) The Singapore Management University (The SMU) Purpose-built over 4.5 hectares of prime Singapore land and completed in 2004, the Singapore Management University (SMU) campus is the first of its kind – designed, integrated and constructed in the heart of a fully developed cityscape, in Singapore’s Bras Basah area. The campus comprises six buildings - four schools, the Li Ka Shing Library and the Administration Building – and includes up to two basement levels with extensive car parking, as well as canteen areas, and overhead roadways and landscaped parkland / ground podium levels. The Project Team faced a range of challenges, including for the first time in Singapore construction of a major structure over two underground railway
