The Resort at Pedregal
The Resort at Pedregal | HKS Architects The Challenge To create a low-density resort that harmonizes and enhances its environment. The resort presents as a village that grew out of the existing rugged mountain terrain situated at lands’ end, where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet. The Design Solution HKS designers chose indigenous materials and preserved the character of the rugged site. The low- scale buildings are a combination of strong stone walls, hand-hewn sand colored plaster, honey-colored wood latilla structures and wood window frames, with large glass installation that capture expansive views.
