THE CHALLENGE The issue that Addenbrookes Hospital had was that they could not easily or safely access four electromagnetic spectroscopes at the Medical Research Council’s Centre for Protein Engineering for routine analysis and maintenance purposes. THE BRIEF The proposed access equipment could not include ferrous metals due to the intense strength of the on-site electromagnetism. The solution also had to comply with current health and safety laws and Work at Height Regulations.
