Characterised by the unusual brick ornamentation which adorns its façade and contrasting with the glass structures that surround it, the Glad Hotel provides a new focal point in the centre of Yeouido, the “Manhattan of Seoul”. Intended as a reference to traditional South Korean houses, the brick theme continues in the design scheme inside the hotel. Here the playful use of materials lends light and depth to the public areas while creative details such as the street signs which direct guests to their rooms put the nishing touches to the innovative decor.
