The Dutch Royal Library (Koninklijke Bibliotheek) implemented the Thales OneWelcome Identity Platform to unify access across its expanding digital ecosystem. Serving over seven million users and 200 applications, the solution created a scalable, secure identity hub supporting Single Sign-On for both library and partner services. Built on private cloud infrastructure, it ensures availability during traffic peaks and integrates voice technology for accessibility. The platform uses OAuth and SAML for secure access and Kibana for centralized monitoring. With Thales, the library achieved inclusivity, scalability, and digital-first transformation, enabling safe online access for the entire Dutch population.
