Terrazzo Building Nashville, Tennessee Nashville’s historic Gulch District boasts a unique and distinct industrial history. It was the original home to the downtown railroad terminal. Prior to the Civil War, railroad tracks were built to connect the cities of Louisville and Nashville. In October of 1859, scheduled trains began running between the two cities and with the exception of war, ?re, and ?ooding they continued to run ever since. From the turn of the century until the 1950s, more than 100 trains arrived and departed from The Gulch daily. Today, the Gulch District has established itself as a melting pot for urbanites to live amongst the culture of the Nashville. In 2006, SSR and Crosland development joined forces to build the ?rst 14- story mixed-use high rise in The Gulch. At
