Tennessee School Districts: Lake County, Overton County, Smith County To realize their goals, these districts individually partnered with Johnson Controls to make extensive facility upgrades throughout their schools. The combined $7.7 million in improvements were enabled through Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC) and Tennessee’s Energy Efficient Schools Initiative (EESI). These engagements helped fund project implementations by using guaranteed savings to offset the cost of the upgrades.
