Peter Brett (PBA) | Temporary flood defence deployment plans PBA, in association with the JacksonHyder joint venture, was commissioned to prepare Temporary Flood Defence Deployment Plans for a number of locations across the north of England, on behalf of the Environment Agency (EA). Working with the EA, PBA investigated the practical implementation of Temporary Defence Deployment where the need for protection from fluvial or tidal flooding had been previously identified. PBA initially undertook a data gathering and feasibility review exercise in order to assess the full extent of the defence deployment required. This included a site visit, liaison with EA staff, and gaining an understanding of the deployment trigger points and the time available for defence deployment at each location. A
