WHYY-TV, channel 12, is the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) member Public television station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The roots of WHYY, which serves southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and all of Delaware, are grounded in com- munity cooperation - a binding of spirited public citizens, cor- porations and foundations that nurtured the station then as now. The newly constructed 8,300-square-feet Dorrance H. Hamilton Public Media Commons at WHYY is one more way that the station is staying connected to the community.
