Regular customer, Heavy Load Service Almelo of Holland again approached Tea- han Convoi Service (TCS) to provide them with all necessary permits and escorts for two transports they were planning to Edinbane on the Isle of Skye. After careful route planning and liaising with the relevant authorities, permits were applied for and obtained and escort arrangements were made. On the first day of transport, a TCS pilot vehicle accompanied the two transports from Newcastle docks to Kinross where a 2nd pilot vehicle, also arranged by TCS joined the convoy. The next day, after overnighting at the Commando memorial at Spean Bridge, the convoy set off for Skye leaded by the two pilot vehicles.
