Osprey was tasked with transporting a number of towheads for the development of a new oil field, Premier Catcher. This was part of a critical chain that required items to be transported from multiple fabrication sites to a single construction site for final assembly before being delivered offshore. Phase 1 required us to take road possessions, overbridge weak bridges and arrange night road closures.Phase 2 was organising sea passage with bespoke seafasteing solutions and optimising vessel operations in a small local port. Loading was by our own crane and discharge was RORO to suit the local facilities. Phase 3 saw us take the large structures through a town, which required the removal of walls and the management of rerouted local traffic.
