THE PROBLEM Lynmouths new pavilion reopened in October 2013 following a £1.2 million reconstruction project run by Exmoor National Park Authority. The original pavilion, built on the site of a coal yard in 1932, had been in a derelict state since 2001 and was structurally unsafe. Situated on the spectacular Lynmouth seafront with a backdrop of the Cliff Railway, the new building includes an education and visitor centre, first floor dining room and a theatre scheduled to show speciality commissioned aerial views of Exmoor.
