StayHome Project: Implementing Proximity Care for Multiple Sclerosis Patients

Pages 2 Pages

IQVIA collaborated with Biogen to design and implement a proximity care model for Multiple Sclerosis patients in Italy. MS care traditionally relied on hospital-based centers, requiring long travel and frequent visits. The StayHome initiative brought together neurologists, patient associations, and scientific societies to co-create a flexible, community-based care framework. IQVIA supported pathway design, center assessments, tailored improvement plans, and KPI monitoring tools. Over four years, 14 MS centers improved adoption of proximity care, benefiting over 16,000 patients. The project established a scalable, bottom-up model enabling more accessible, coordinated, and patient-centered MS care nationwide.
