St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital Murfreesboro, Tennessee St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital is a new 555,000 SF healthcare facility with a capacity of 286 beds. The project was constructed on a 68-acre green ?eld site green ?eld. It replaced an existing facility that was originally constructed in 1926. The facility includes an emergency department with 49 exam rooms, 10 ORs (with two shell spaces), PACU, day surgery, radiology, three cath labs, and 121 med/surg rooms (36 pediatric). The hospital also houses 32 ICU rooms, 11 LDR rooms, three c-section rooms, 15 NICU rooms, 20 well-baby rooms, post-partum, and continuing care nurseries.
