Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital Memphis, Tennessee Le Bonheur Children’s roots go back to 1923 when a group of compassionate ladies began a sewing circle to make clothing for Memphis’ orphans. This love and dedication to the needs of local children blossomed into Le Bonheur’s original facility, which opened its doors on June 15, 1952. Flash forward to 2005; Le Bonheur had grown over the years and had a goal to become a world leader in pediatric healthcare.
