Endesa, a major Spanish electricity and gas provider with 174 plants, needed a control room to remotely manage operations at a distant power plant without moving computers or losing video quality. Black Box implemented a fiber optic infrastructure with redundancy and deployed Agility KVM-over-IP extenders, enabling secure extension of video, audio, USB, and data up to 62 miles. The system ensured zero latency, dual-head DVI-D resolutions up to 2560 x 1600, and easy adaptability for future needs. The project simplified telecontrol, improved efficiency, and set the stage for future deployments across Endesa’s plants.
