One of Brazil’s largest alumina refineries needed to update its automation system but faced incompatibility between new DVI servers and its existing VGA KVM extenders. To resolve this, Black Box recommended the Emerald SE KVM extension system, which supports Full HD DVI video and extends signals up to 100 meters. This allowed operators in the control room to seamlessly access the new servers located remotely, streamlining workflows and ensuring clear monitoring of refinery processes. The solution also offers flexibility for future upgrades to an Emerald matrix switching system with Boxilla, securing scalability and reliability.
