CASE STUDY: Sibelco - Dingle Quarry In February 2018, Skyfly carried out a topographical survey of Dingle Quarry near Macclesfield which is now up for redevelopment and the quarry will now be refilled to be used as a lake for watersports. Working with the major stakeholders of the land, we carried out a survey to calculate the fill volumes of 2 seperate quarry areas and a number of stockpiles in order for them to calculate timescales and costs of the fill in. The whole survey was completed in just 1 day. DATA COLLECTION: Images was gathered using a Sony 24MP camera mounted to a 2m fixed wing UAV giving a image resolution of 2.4cm/pixel.
