The National Institutes of Health (NIH)’s S10 Program is a great option. This program is composed of the Basic Instrumentation Grant (BIG), the Shared Instrumentation Grant (SIG), and the High-End Instrumentation Grant (HEI). S10 awards provide funds toward purchasing or updating expensive shared-use instrumentation that is not typically supported by other NIH funding mechanisms.
