The police proved a key driving force behind the development and roll-out of the Nødnett project, and it’s Frequentis technology that sits at the heart of the new Nødnett-enabled police control centres. Regional police forces even started using the company’s custom ICCS 3020 communication solution before the TETRA network was in place. “The new system delivered a lot of information we didn’t have before and we wanted those benefits earlier”, says Thomas Østensjø Hansen of the National Police Directorate.
