Saskatchewan Remote Control Weigh Station (RCWS) Project Description: For this project IRD designed, developed, supplied and installed a Remote Control Weigh Station (RCWS)—the rst of its kind in Canada.The project was a coordinated eort between IRD and the Provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta. The RCWS allows monitoring and weighing of vehicles from a remote location through an Internet link. The Macklin RCWS features an inspection station complete with static scale on Highway 14, along with four monitoring stations located on the four highways adjacent to the inspection station.
