Chile Weigh Station Project Description: IRD’s subsidiary in Santiago, IRD PAT Trac Ltda., was awarded a maintenance project with the Chilean government. Chile is a very longcountry (5000 Km) with the MOP (Ministry of Public Works) axle control points being distributed throughout the entire country. This project consists of 10 double weigh stations (both directions) and 5 simple stations. In the northern part of the country, near the Peruvian border, is where you will nd the Chaimavida weigh point. The next point, Chungara, is located near the Bolivian border. This beautiful landscape is 5000 meters above sea level and is surrounded by volcanoes. Two stations are found in the Atacama Desert - Huara and La Negra.
