Saker ShopRites “Goes Green” After Adding Datawatch to its IT Shopping Cart
SAKER SHOPRITES Saker ShopRites, Inc., a member of the Wakefern Food merchandising and distribution cooperative, owns and operates 29 supermarkets in central New Jersey, including Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex, Somerset and Mercer counties. Beginning with a small “mom and pop” store opened in 1916 in Freehold, New Jersey, the Saker family has operated grocery stores for almost 100 years. CHALLENGE Saker ShopRites relied on an outdated paper-based reporting system and microfiche, and needed to transition to a web-enabled solution for reporting to 29 grocery stores. SOLUTION Datawatch Enterprise Server (DES) replaced Saker ShopRites’ old system of printing and shipping paper reports, with a web-enabled report archive.
