A 3.6ha Thames-side site in Wandsworth is being redeveloped for residential use. Industrialisation of the site began in the early part of the 20th century, with the construction of oil works and oil storage facilities. The site continued to be used as a fuel storage depot until its closure in 1991. The ground conditions comprise a variable thickness of Made Ground, overlying in turn clay Alluvium, sands and gravels, and the London Clay.
