Conapto, a Swedish colocation provider, partnered with Vertiv and Fever to enhance sustainability and grid support. Using Vertiv’s Liebert® EXL S1 UPS with Dynamic Grid Support, Conapto transformed its UPS from a passive backup into an active grid-balancing tool. The system regulates frequency within 500 ms, manages demand, and reduces CO2 through efficiencies up to 99% in Dynamic Online mode. Lithium-ion batteries provided high density, fast charge/discharge, and monitoring. This innovation enabled Conapto to join Sweden’s FFR program, monetizing idle backup capacity while meeting environmental targets, cutting costs, and supporting renewable integration.
